Student Testimonials

Case 1

At the age of 28, I thought I would never return to school but the Early Childhood Education and Care program at IAEA convinced me. After working at the same job for many years, I felt I needed to upgrade my skills to be able to stay competitive in the ever changing job market.

I attended classes at IAEA for the Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care and then progressed to the Diploma program. I then did my work placement at a local day-care centre. The skills I learned from the classes were immediately applicable to real-life experiences.

Thanks IAEA for making my life better and helping me make a difference in the lives of children. I recently launched a day-care facility with my business partner.

- Jhoany, Early Childhood Education and CareCertificate III, 2014 graduate

Case 2

I immigrated to Australia with my family in 2013. Back in Sri Lanka, I had four years of experience in food and beverages but faced challenges in finding a sustainable job when I first came to Brisbane. As I was researching about various education pathways that could help me get a job, I came across IAEA which turned out to be a sensible decision.

The one-year diploma program in Business with IAEA helped me tremendously in sharpening my analysis and leadership skills, but also improving my English in a business context. I particularly enjoyed the small class environment and that the teachers and counsellors were very approachable and hands-on.

With the help of IAEA, now I am working part-time as the senior associate of client liaison at a hospitality group in Brisbane and part-time working towards my Bachelor of Business degree at QUT.
